October 21, 2010, 7:30 PM: The Federal Poets hosts a poetry reading at the Silver Spring Civic Center, Veteran’s Plaza, conveniently located near the Silver Spring metro stop, Wayne Avenue & Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD. Judith McCombs and Miles David Moore are featured readers with an open reading afterwards.

July 20, 2010: Don Illich reads at the Miller Cabin series. For information of schedule and directions, go to the Wordworks site.

May 4-20, 2010: — Workshop
Judith McCombs led a workshop in Slanting, Scattering, Squeezing Rhymes at the Bethesda Writer's Center May 4-20.

April 11, 2010, 8:15 — Judith McCombs, Ann Rayburn, Elizabeth Rees, Tondy Mancus, David Moss, and Marcela Sulak read at Iota Second Sunday, April 11, 8:15, as winnders of the 2010 MOVING WORDS Poetry Competition. www.arlingtonarts.orgThis followed the regular Iota Poetry Reading and open reading at 6 pm. Iota Club & Cafe is a live music venue, restaurant and bar at 2832 Wilson Blvd., a short walk downhill from the Clarendon Metro.

March 14, 2010, 8:15 PM — Miles David Moore, Federal Poet, was the featured reader at the Poetry and Art Event held by Ethan L. Edwards at Iota Bar and Cafe from 8:15 to 9:15, immediately after the monthly Iota Poetry Series reading.

Thursday, 21 January 2010 7:30 pm -- Federal Poet member Judith Mccombs read in The Atrium, with Sally Rosen Kindred and David Gewanter (who edited Robert Lowell's poems). She read some from the Habit of Fire Selected, and some never read before from the historic sequence that got Maryland State Arts Council's major 2009 award. They read in the Atrium of the Takoma Park Community Center, 7500 Maple Avenue.

On Wednesday, 27 January 2010, 7 pm, Federal Poets Bonnie Naradzay, Lee Giesecke, and Nancy Allinson read their poetry. The Federal Poets, the Metro area's longest running workshop, publishes a journal, and invites visitors.

Bonnie Naradzay has read at the Library of Congress, Miller Cabin, and Takamoa Park Library. Her work appears in JAMA, SLAB, Federal  Poet, Delmarva and Heartland Reviews, and online in Beltway Poetry, Convergence, Innisfree Poetry Journal, Potomac, Salt River Review, and elsewhere.

Lee Giesecke, a retired actuary, has sometimes-philosophical poems in Bogg, Borderlands, Federal Poet, If  and New York Quarterly.; and haiku and senryu poems in 7 journals, 3 newspapers, and 6 anthologies. 

Nancy Allinson of EPA is emcee of Kensington Row Bookshop's poetry series, and President of Federal Poets. Her work appears inPoet Lore, Federal Poet, Minimus, Potomac Review  and elsewhere. She is a Jenny McKean Fellow, and a winner of the Bethesda 8 Trolley Poetry Bench contest.
