Child Drawing

Curled up in a nest of colors,
feeling safe enough to create,
she draws lines on paper
carefully, for every child knows
that creation entails care, since
what is to be created must agree
with something already created
(just this instant)--that's the
easy careless part--and now
from safe within the creation,
with care one must communicate.
