Pilot
Boat
What a welter of waves we're making!--
sun-blinding white washing away
into wavelets and bloblets and
flotsams and jetsams of orange
black and silver and aqua and grey green beige...
ah, but we must go about our business,
grinding our way through the sun's
molten debris, marking a serious path
for a serious barge, while leaping light
and spray and ripple before and aft
make dolphin play, strewing the sea
with shattered sheened mockery of our
weathered orange, dull black and pale green paint.
