This watercolor of Soccer, St. Eustatius (1994) was done on the beach at St. Eustatius, part of the Netherland Antilles chain in the Caribbean. The presence of clouds and mountainous slopes attest to the island's volcanic origins. This is one of the few "landscape" paintings I've done that incorporates people. I like putting people in landscape. It gives a sense of scale.
