Restoration of old painting:
I am currently (July, 2007) restoring a painting for a student.
I am NOT a professional restorer. You can see work
in progress here.
March,
2007: "Spring House, Nancy's Place" is accepted
in the judied Art League of Alexandria show at the Torpedo Factory
and will be on display during the whole of March.
February, 2007: I am participating
in a show with Max_21 group at ArtWorks in Reston: 21 views of "how
we see ourselves" done on uniform panels 2.5' wide by 5' high.

January, 2007: I participated
in a community show sponsored by the Arts Council of Fairfax County
at Washington Trade Center and a triptich (Winter I, II, III) sold.
The show remains on view through March.

Dec, 2006: The Painting "Early
Spring, River Bend" was accepted in Art League of Alexandria's
monthly show and was sold. I also have several paintings in the
MAX_21 show at Artworks
in Reston.

Nov, 2006: The painting "Pandora's
Box" was accepted in the Art League of Alexandria's "Political"
theme show, the painting "Hot Jazz" was accepted into
the Small works show, and the painting "Tilt" is showing
in the bin gallery at the same venue through Dec 4, 2006. Sorry,
I forgot to take pictures.
Sept,
2006: The painting "Beauty
Spot, Potomac" was accepted in the Art
League of Alexandria monthly show and was sold within the first
week of the show! It remains on view until end Sept. The painting
Cloudy Day, Riverbend is also accepted in the "bin gallery".
July
2006: The painting "Stream with Rapids, Autumn"
was accepted in the Art
League of Alexandria show.
June, 2006: The painting "Small
Boat Dock Alexandria (study)" Painted in Plein Air during May
in Alexandria, was accepted in the June Art
League of Alexandria show at the Torpedo Factory.
The painting "Early Morning After Rain, River Bend Park"
(shown above) was painted 6/3/06 and sold that day at a "wet
canvas" auction.

Beauty
Spot, Potomac was accepted in the 13th Annual Juried Exhibition
of the League of Reston Artists, June 2006, judged by Jack Rasmussen,
Director of the Art Gallery at the Katzen Arts Center at American
University and won a Third Place Award.
Mirra, All
Dressed Up was accepted in the April Art League of Alexandria
Art Show.

Mirra, All Dressed
Up won Honorable Mention in the annual League of Reston Artists
Show at the US Geological Survey gallery, August 2-31, 2005.

June

2004: Pam sold the painting: Cherry Blossoms at Hains
Point II, 30 x 40 inches.
Open
Exhibition, 2004: facilitated by the Arts Council of
Fairfax County at the Verizon Gallery on the Nova Annadale campus,
takes place from November 4, 2004 to December 3, 2004 with reception
on November 11th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. My painting: Temple Farm
Creek, was selected for inclusion. Juror: Paul B. Salmon.
October,
2004 "Erin" (a protrait study) is accepted
in the monthly juried Art
League of Alexandria show at the Torpedo Factory.
July
- Sept 2004 Coulter show in Idaho
Falls, Idaho.
June,
2004 "Monroe", painted some years ago,
was accepted into the "Portrait" show at the Torpedo Factory.
The show ran until July 6, 2004. Monroe is a poet friend who also
taught motorcycle safety at NOVA on weekends. If you click to the
larger picture, you can see his Harley-Davidson belt buckle.

May,
2004 My newest painting, "Fast Food"
has been juried into a show on "Food and the Still Life"
at the Art League of Alexandria gallery at the Torpedo Factory in
Alexandria, VA. It's a small painting, and I did it partly as satire.
Fortunately, not only do I like it, but apparently others do too!

2004 -- Coulter painting: Farmyard in Winter has been accepted
in the prestigious Art
League of Alexandria monthly juried show and is on display at
the Torpedo Factory, Art League Gallery, during the month of March.

Cafe in Reston.
November
2003 -- My Painting "Otel,
Midwest" was accepted in the annual "Open Exhibition
2003" to be held in the Verizon Gallery, Annandale campus of
the Northern Virginia Community College. The Judge for the show
was thecurator ofthe Phillips Collection of Washington DC. (The
painting is privately owned and is loaned back for the show.)

October 18-19, 2003 -- Pam
Coulter participated in the Bethesda Row Arts Festival in Bethesda
MD.
September
2003 Pam Blehert won "Best of Show at the monthly
Art League
of Alexandria show at the Torpedo Factory, Judge Duncan Tebow,
for "Drummer." The
third Annual Shayna
Heisman Simkin Award was presented.
August
2003 -- Temple
Farm Creek has been accepted for inclusion in the August 2003
Art League
of Alexandria Show at the Torpedo Factory. You can also see
five of my shrink-wrapped works in the bins.
August
2003 The painting Universal
Liquor won an Equal Merit award in the August 2003 League of
Reston Artists annual show at the US Geological Survey, National
Center. Judge: Duncan
Tebow. (By the way, the "Equal Merit" award is "equal"
to the old First, Second and Third place awards. Judge: Kathleen
Callery.)

2003, Farmyard
is accepted in judged show (David
Tannous) at the Reston Community Center. And Pam is again a
member of the "Bin Gallery" at the Torpedo Factory.

The "Contemplative Nude"
pictured at the left, was a matted piece I submitted that was not
accepted (I hadn't read the rules carefully. The Vienna Community
Center rules forbid any display of nudes.) So I am putting it here,
on the Internet, because it is a nice painting, for all the world

Backyards,
Front Royal was accepted in the August, 2002 juried show at the
Torpedo Factory.
Flowered
Pitcher, Two Mangoes was accepted in the juried show at the
Torpedo Factory ALA gallery for July, 2002 and sold to a New Jersey
client.
Georgetown
Marketplace won an "Honorable Mention" at the League
of Reston Artists Judged show, April, 2002 at the Rose Gallery.
"Temple
Farm Creek" won an "Equal Merit Award" in the
League of Reston Artist sponsored show judged by Deborah Ellis and
running April 2-30,2001 at the Jo Ann Rose Gallery, Reston Community
Center at Lake Anne.
