Raining, Street in Herndon
acrylic on canvas, mounted
This was done from a reference photo of a street in Herndon VA after rain. I had originally drawn the sloppy outline around the edges of the canvas to show students that you could leave adequate canvas to later stretch it. I liked the effect so much that, instead of stretching it, I mounted under glass with a mat.
