This qualifies as an "early work," I suppose. I painted it from a photo I shot from a neighbor's back yard while walking "Wilson" (the little stray poodle I'd picked up on Wilson Boulevard) back when I first moved to 2345 Nebraska Avenue, NW in Washington DC. Photo must've been taken about 1980 or so, but as you can see, the painting was dated 1989. I've always liked this for it's since of depth and the way it walks you into the picture.
