Nude in Shift
oil on canvas, mounted

This was done from a drawing by either Degas or Giacometti and should really bear the inscription "after ____" except that I can't remember which and probably no one cares anyway. I thought this and the other nude figure I did, as a student in Peggy Parker's class, "Painting with a big brush" at the Torpedo Factory, really stood well together. Turns out Peggy had also studied with my first "mentor", Ben Summerford. (Probably part ofthe reason I was drawn to her art, asisde from its general excellence.)
